Midwinter can be a difficult time for some people to get through, but there is a Danish tradition that can help alot of us to find joy in this season. The tradition is called hygge. Hygge means to create a warm atmosphere and enjoy the good things in life with good people. I personally can't think of a better way to celebrate this lovely tradition then by cozying up with a warm cup of cocoa or tea with a book by a warm fireplace after you have taken a walk in the freshly fallen snow. Another way to celebrate hygge is to have a small gathering of people you care about to enjoy some delicious food and wine as you gather by the hearth. There are so many ways to celebrate hygge and find some joy in this midwinter season. Because everything is better by the fire!
